Welcome to Newcastle Veterinary Ultrasound (NVU), offering Ultrasound referrals to Veterinarians in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, the Central Coast and Mid North Coast Region.

NVU is proud to offer the following services:

  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • Echocardiography
  • Cardiac work-up (Echocardiography and ECG)
  • Ultrasound-guided Fine needle aspirate (FNA)
  • Ultrasound-guided Tru-Cut biopsy

NVU is the first and only independent Veterinary Ultrasound service in this region. We are not affiliated with any general practice. We are based at the Newcastle Animal Referral and Emergency Centre and provide a mobile ultrasound service to Newcastle, Lower Hunter and Central Coast practices.
